  1. Dicorcia’s work reminds me of Gregory Crewson’s photography. Both have constructed narratives. Both look like stills from movies (that don’t exist). I am glad there is a link to more of Dicorcia’s work.

    Lighting is key to his stories within his frame. Also many of the photos present the moment of an end of an action. I am struck by how the absence of information (such as the whole story) engages the imagination of the viewer (me) possibly more then if it were a moving cinematic scene. I am left to fill in the blanks.

    (turns out Dicorcia did study at Yale, where Crewson now teaches….)
